Understand upcoming sessions
Open Upcoming from the Town Hall dashboard or the left navigation panel to review scheduled sessions before they go live.
Differentiate Q&A and live Broadcast sessions
You can quickly identify a live Broadcast session by the video icon shown on the session tile and if it is a Public or Private town hall session.
For an upcoming Q&A session:
For an upcoming Live Broadcast session:
Members can start posting questions immediately, even before the session starts
Hosts and panelists can review questions in advance and prepare responses before the broadcast begins
Open the Town Hall session.
Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner.
The options you see depend on your role in the session.
Use session management options
These options are available from the session-level three-dot menu:
- Manage- Lets the Town Hall creator and community hosts update session details such as name, description, tags, invitees, panelists, and answer settings.
Under Manage, what you can edit depends on the session status:
For Upcoming sessions, you can:
Update the Session name, Description
Edit start and end date
Manage invitees
Add or update panellists and tags
Choose to allow all participants to answer questions
For Ongoing sessions, you can:
Update the Session name, Description
Edit end date
Manage invitees
Add or update panellists and tags
Choose to allow all participants to answer questions
For Completed sessions, you can:
Update the session name, description
Extend the end date and time to bring the session back to live
Add or update tags
Choose to allow all participants to answer questions
Please note that only Q&A sessions can be restarted. Live Broadcast sessions must be recreated.
