View and manage release details

The release details page provides you with all the information related to a particular release. The header of the page has the release name as the title. You can click and edit it to update the release name.

The following are the tabs in release details:

Release board

The release board is a one-stop solution to view all your release items across sprints. Learn more.

Details

This section displays the default information about the release. This includes release owner, release color code, start date, release date, and release stage. The custom fields that you've included will also be displayed here.

Dashboard

View the following charts to study the progress and make informed decisions:
  1. Release item status by item count and point.
  2. Associated sprints by type.
  3. Work item count by status.
  4. Billable and non-billable log hours.
  5. Approval of logs by approval status.
  6. Comparison of planned vs completed release items.
  7. Comparison of planned vs actual progress.
  8. User activity for all and assigned users.
  9. Progress of associated sprints.
  10. Progress of associated epics.

Description

  1. The description of the release will be displayed here.
  2. Click the Add Description button to add a description.
  3. Click the Edit Description button to update it. 

Comments

  1. This section displays all the comments that are made in the release.
  2. Enter the comment in the comment box and click the Add button. To notify a user or group directly, type @ to mention the person or the group and #ID to mention the item.
  3. View comments as list or thread.
  4. Add a comment to this item via email. Learn more.
  5. Add reactions and replies. The replies are displayed in a collapsible windows and are available as a thread of conversation that is easy to follow.  On the other hand, you can simply add emoticons to the comments.
  6. Convert a comment into work item.
  7. Copy the comment URL to share the same with team members.
  8. Hover on the comment to edit or delete.
Notes
  1. A user can add up to five reactions for a comment.
  2. A comment can have up to 1000 reactions.

Meetings

  1. This section displays the meetings scheduled for the release.
  2. Click the Schedule button to schedule online or offline meetings.
  3. You can view scheduled, ongoing, and completed meetings under the respective categories.

Commits and pull requests

The following integration platforms are also available when integrated:
  1. Gitlab
  2. Github
  3. Bitbucket
  4. Azure DevOps
  5. AWS Code Commit
  6. Zoho Repository
You can attach commits and pull requests from these services.

Extensions

There are extensions supported in release module. This includes approval tracker, whiteboard, and writer.

Actions on the right-side bar menu

There are a list of actions supported on the side bar menu. This menu includes widgets and extensions that enhance you release management process. Learn more about extensions.
  1. Add - Click the + icon to add description, comment, meeting, and item.
  2. Chat - Click the chat icon to start a group conversation with the required participants.
  3. Delete - Click the delete icon to delete the release.
