Feature preference settings
View and select all the required project settings for your workspace from this Feature Preference section.
Project Type
In Zoho Sprints, you can create Scrum and Kanban projects when you enable both options within the Feature Preference section.
Scrum: It is an agile project management method used to build projects in periodic iterations. Know more.
Kanban: It is a visual project management method designed for larger projects. It helps teams manage workflow by using kanban boards to track work items across various stages. Know more.

Strict scrum settings
Zoho Sprints has made it easy for teams that follow a strict Scrum methodology. Once you choose to follow a strict scrum process, you can easily implement agile scrum principles in your project management process. Learn more about Scrum.

To enable strict Scrum:
-
Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Click the toggle switch to enable triggering emails to enable strict Scrum.
- Click the Update button to save the settings.
Note: Only the workspace owner can modify this setting.
Start multiple Sprints
Enabling this option allows you to start multiple sprints at once in a project. To enable it:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Click the toggle switch to start multiple sprints. This allows you to start more than one sprint simultaneously.
- Click the Update button to save the settings.
Other preferences
API Access
Allow workspace users to access data using the API by enabling this API access option.
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Click the toggle switch to allow workspace users to access data using APIs.
- Click the Update button to save the settings.
Leave Tracker
Enabling the Leave Tracker feature will allow you to track the organization users leaves. Leave Tracker will be enabled by default.
To enable or disable leave tracker:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Click the toggle switch to enable or disable leave tracker.
- Click the Update button to save the settings.
Configuring work item sharing preferences
Only the workspace owner can enable this preference in the workspace. There are two sharing options available:
- Share Item with Users
- Share Item with Projects
Share Items with Users
Enabling this option allows users to share work items. During the sharing process, you'll be prompted to choose the access permissions "Read" or "Write" based on what you want the user to be able to do.
Note: You can share the work item with up to 25 users.
Enable Share Items with Users
- Click Settings (gear icon) at the top-right corner.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Scroll down to Other Preferences and turn on the toggle beside Share Items with Users.
- Click Update.
The workspace admin can disable this option anytime by turning off the Share Items with Users toggle.
Share Item with Projects
Enabling this option allows you to share work items with other projects. As a workspace owner, you can choose whether users can share work items with any project or only with the projects they are members of.
Enable Share Item with Projects
- Click Settings (gear icon) at the top-right corner.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Scroll down to Other Preferences and turn on the toggle beside Share Items with Projects.
- Select the sharing preference; Associated Projects or All Projects.
- When Associated Projects is selected, users will only be able to share work items across projects that they're part of.
- When All Projects is selected, users can share work items with any project in the workspace, irrespective of whether they can access the project or not.
- Click Update.
The workspace admin can disable this option anytime by turning off the Share Items with Projects toggle.
Mask mail address
You can mask email addresses to improve your users' privacy.
To mask the email addresses:
- Click the gear icon at the top-right corner. The Settings window will appear.
- Select Feature Preference under Workspace Settings.
- Scroll down to the Mask mail address section and click the toggle switch for the following:
- Workspace Users: Mask email IDs of your workspace users from display.
- External Users: Mask email IDs of client and vendor users from display.
- Click the Update button to save the settings.
