Destination Pages | Zoho TouchPoint

Destinations - Part I

1. What is a destination?

A destination is the landing page that opens when someone interacts with a TouchPoint mode, such as tapping an NFC card, scanning a QR code, or clicking a short link. Every touchpoint must have one destination assigned to it at any time.

Currently, Zoho TouchPoint offers 11 destination types. This article covers the six most feature-rich destinations in detail. The remaining five, Website URL, vCard, App Download, Instant Message, and Instant Email, are covered in the Simple Destinations article.

NOTE

Destinations are dynamic. You can change which destination a touchpoint points to at any time on all editions, without reprinting or resharing the mode. Each change creates a new version tracked separately in analytics.

NOTE

Pro destinations are destination types that collect or exchange data. You can identify them by the Pro label on their card in the destination selector. Each Pro destination you create counts individually toward your plan's limit (25 on Standard, 200 on Enterprise, 600 on Ultimate). All other destinations can be created without a count limit, subject only to your plan's storage allowance. New destinations will be added over time; the Pro label in the product is always the definitive indicator of which ones count toward your limit.

2. Profile

A Profile is a rich, mobile-optimized landing page that goes beyond a traditional contact card. It can display your bio, photo, company, role, social links, embedded videos, downloadable PDFs, and multiple CTA buttons, all in one page that people access after tapping or scanning your touchpoint.

A Profile is the most popular destination for in-person networking. Unlike a vCard, which only shares contact information, a Profile lets you tell your story, showcase your work, and give people multiple ways to take action from a single tap, including saving your contact, booking a meeting, and exchanging details.

Profile vs. vCard

A vCard shares contact info only. A Profile adds media, bio content, and fully configurable CTA buttons on top of contact info.

Profile vs. Link Page

A Link Page is for multi-link navigation. A Profile is for personal identity. It centers on who you are, not just where to go.

Setting up a Profile

  1. From the Create page, or when setting a destination for an existing mode, select Profile. Choose an existing profile or click Create New.
  2. Give your profile a name for internal reference (for example, "John's Networking Profile"). This appears in your dashboard, not on the public-facing page.
  3. Browse the profile template library and select a layout. Templates vary in structure; some lead with a full-width photo, others with a card-style layout.
  4. Add your name, job title, company, bio description, profile photo, and brand or accent color. These populate the core of the page.
  5. Optionally, embed YouTube or Vimeo videos, attach PDFs such as a portfolio, brochure, or CV, and add social media icons for your LinkedIn, Instagram, and other profiles.
  6. Add the action buttons you want visitors to see. See CTA buttons on a Profile below for details on each button type.
  7. Click Save. The profile is now ready to assign to any mode, including NFC card, Digital Card, QR code, or short link.

CTA buttons on a Profile

Most profile templates come pre-configured with two CTA buttons, Save Contact and Exchange Contact. These are the recommended setup for networking and are ready to use as soon as you pick a template.

ButtonWhat it doesWhere the data goes
Save ContactWorks like a vCard. When a visitor taps this button, your contact details are downloaded directly to their phone's contacts app. No sign-up or app required on their end.Nothing is collected; this is outbound only. Your details go to them.
Exchange ContactOpens a quick contact form on the visitor's phone. They fill in their name, email, phone, and any other fields you've configured, and submit it.Submissions are collected in the Exchange Contact module inside your Zoho TouchPoint account. From there, you can review records and push selected contacts to Zoho CRM.

TIP

The Save Contact and Exchange Contact combination is the most effective networking setup. Your contact goes to them and their contact comes to you, all in a single tap. This is why it's the default on most profile templates and is strongly recommended to keep enabled.

NOTE

If you prefer a profile without these buttons, for example a purely informational page, you can select a profile template that does not include CTA buttons during the template selection step. This is not recommended for networking use cases.

Use cases

🤝 Sales networking

NFC card at a conference, pointing to a Profile with Save Contact, Exchange Contact, and a Book a Meeting button.

🎨 Freelancer portfolio

QR code on business stationery, pointing to a Profile with a PDF portfolio, YouTube showreel, and a "Hire Me" booking button.

🏥 Healthcare provider

🎤 Speaker or trainer

QR code on event slides, pointing to a Profile with a bio, embedded talk video, and a "Get in Touch" lead form.

3. Lead Magnet Form

A Lead Magnet Form is a customizable form that captures visitor information, including name, email, phone, company, and more. All submissions are stored in the Lead Magnet Records module inside Zoho TouchPoint, where you can review them and push selected records to Zoho CRM when ready.

Lead Magnet Forms are designed to be lightweight and fast. Visitors can fill them in within seconds on their phone, immediately after tapping your NFC card at a trade show or scanning a QR code on a billboard.

Building your form

  1. From the Create page, or when setting a destination for an existing mode, select Lead Magnet Form. Choose an existing form or click Create New.
  2. Give it a descriptive name (for example, "Trade Show Enquiry - Mumbai 2026"). This appears in your dashboard and analytics reports.
  3. Pick a color theme for the form page. This affects background color, button color, and accent styles.
  4. On the customization screen, select a Field Type and give it a label. Available field types are listed below.
  5. Toggle Make it mandatory on any field that must be filled in before the form can be submitted.
  6. Click Next to finish. The form's QR code and short URL will be generated automatically and can be used with any mode.

TIP

Keep forms short for physical touchpoints like NFC cards and QR codes, at a maximum of 3 to 5 fields. Name, Email, and Phone are usually sufficient to start a follow-up. Longer forms work better for dedicated landing pages.

Viewing records and pushing to Zoho CRM

Form submissions are not sent directly to Zoho CRM at the point of submission. Instead, all records are first collected in the Lead Magnet Records module inside your Zoho TouchPoint account, where you can review them before deciding which ones to push to CRM.

  1. Go to Lead Magnet Records in your TouchPoint dashboard. All form submissions appear here, organized by form name, with the date and time of each submission and the full field data filled in by the visitor.
  2. Review the submissions. You can filter by form, date range, or other criteria to find the records you want to act on.
  3. Select the records you want to export and click Push to CRM. You will be prompted to:
    • Select your Zoho CRM organization
    • Choose the CRM module (for example, Leads or Contacts)
    • Select the layout
    • Map form fields to the corresponding CRM fields

The selected records will then be created as new records in Zoho CRM. Records already pushed are marked accordingly so you don't create duplicates.

NOTE

This two-step approach, collecting in TouchPoint first and then pushing to CRM selectively, gives you control over what enters your CRM. You can filter out incomplete or low-quality submissions before they reach your pipeline.

For advanced form features, a prompt inside the form builder will guide you to Zoho Forms.

Use cases

📋 Trade show lead capture

QR code on a booth standee, pointing to a Lead Magnet Form. Submissions are collected in Lead Magnet Records, reviewed, and pushed to Zoho CRM.

🏗 OOH advertising

QR code on a billboard or newspaper ad, pointing to a lead form for callback requests or quote enquiries, collected in TouchPoint for follow-up.

📦 Product packaging

QR code inside a product box, pointing to a warranty registration form. Records are stored in TouchPoint and selectively pushed to CRM.

🤝 Networking exchange

An Exchange Contact button on a Profile, opening a quick form. Submissions are collected in the Exchange Contact module in TouchPoint.

4. Zoho Forms

The Zoho Forms destination lets you use a form you have already built in Zoho Forms as your landing page. Instead of creating a new form inside TouchPoint, you connect your Zoho Forms account and pick an existing form.

NOTE

Where submissions are stored. This is the key difference from a Lead Magnet Form. Responses to a Zoho Forms destination stay in your Zoho Forms account. They are not stored in TouchPoint and do not appear in the Lead Magnet Records module. TouchPoint reports surface-level engagement only, such as how many people visited the form.

Setting up a Zoho Forms destination

  1. Select Use a form created on Zoho Forms from the Capture Interest group when setting your destination.
  2. Authorize the connection between TouchPoint and Zoho Forms. This only needs to be done once.
  3. Pick the form you want to use from the list of forms in your Zoho Forms account.
  4. Save the destination and assign it to your touchpoint. Anyone who taps, scans, or clicks will now land on that Zoho Forms form.

Zoho Forms or Lead Magnet Form?

Use Zoho Forms when

You already have a form built in Zoho Forms, need its advanced field types, logic, or workflows, and want responses to stay in your Zoho Forms account.

Use a Lead Magnet Form when

You want submissions collected inside TouchPoint, visible in Lead Magnet Records, so you can review them and push selected records to Zoho CRM.

TIP

A Zoho Forms destination does not count toward your plan's Pro destination limit, because the form and its responses are hosted in Zoho Forms rather than in TouchPoint. A Lead Magnet Form does count, because it collects and stores data inside TouchPoint.

Use cases

📋 Existing registration form

An event QR code pointing to a Zoho Forms registration form your team already maintains, with responses staying in Zoho Forms.

📝 Complex application form

An NFC card or short link pointing to a multi-page Zoho Forms application that uses conditional logic and file uploads.

🔄 Shared team form

One Zoho Forms form reused across several touchpoints, so all responses are collected in a single place.

5. Appointment Form

An Appointment Form is a booking page that shows your real-time availability and lets people schedule a meeting with you directly, without email back-and-forth. Available times are shown automatically in the visitor's local time zone.

The built-in Appointment Form in TouchPoint is a lightweight, quick-setup booking page suited for simple scheduling needs. For advanced features, such as paid appointments, team scheduling, and multi-service bookings, users are guided to Zoho Bookings.

Setting up availability

  1. From the Create page, or when setting a destination for a mode, select Appointment Form. Choose an existing form or click Create New.
  2. Give the booking page a name (for example, "30-Minute Intro Call") and pick a color theme.
  3. Connect your work or personal calendar, or both, to TouchPoint. TouchPoint uses your calendar to determine your real-time availability, so visitors only see the slots when you're free. Your calendar's event details remain private.
  4. Define the days and hours during which you are open to bookings, for example Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Only slots within these hours will be shown to visitors.
  5. Choose how long each appointment is (for example, 30 minutes or 1 hour) and optionally add buffer time between meetings so you're never back-to-back.
  6. Save the form. The booking page's QR code and short URL are generated automatically and can be used with any mode or shared directly online.

NOTE

When a visitor books a slot, the appointment is automatically added to your connected calendar. Available times are always displayed in the visitor's local time zone, so no manual conversion is needed.

Advanced bookings with Zoho Bookings

The built-in Appointment Form covers simple one-to-one scheduling. If you need any of the following, the form builder will prompt you to use Zoho Bookings:

  • Paid appointments or deposits
  • Multiple service types with different durations
  • Team or round-robin scheduling
  • Custom booking page branding
  • Automated reminder emails and follow-ups
  • Group bookings or classes

Your Zoho Bookings page URL can be used as the CTA Redirection on any button, or set as a Website URL destination on any TouchPoint mode, so you still benefit from TouchPoint's scan tracking and analytics.

Use cases

💼 Consultant networking

An NFC card or QR code pointing to an Appointment Form, so prospects can book a discovery call instantly after meeting you.

📱 Social media bio

A short link in an Instagram or LinkedIn bio pointing to an appointment booking page, so followers can schedule a session.

🏥 Healthcare and wellness

A QR code in a waiting area or on signage pointing to a quick appointment form, to book the next available slot.

💻 Sales demo scheduling

An email signature CTA button pointing to an Appointment Form, so prospects can self-schedule a product demo.

6. Survey Form COMING SOON

A Survey Form lets you collect structured feedback, run NPS surveys, or gather customer insights directly from any TouchPoint scan. It is ideal for post-purchase, post-event, or in-venue feedback collection.

IMPORTANT

Coming soon. The Survey Form destination is shown in the destination selector but is not yet selectable. The steps below describe the intended behaviour and will apply once it is released.

Building your survey

  1. From the Create page, or when setting a destination, select Survey Form. Choose an existing survey or click Create New.
  2. Give the survey a name (for example, "Post-Event Feedback - May 2026") and choose a color theme for the page.
  3. Select field types suited to survey questions. The most commonly used types for feedback and NPS surveys are listed below.
  4. Toggle Make it mandatory on questions that must be answered before the survey can be submitted.
  5. Save the form. The survey's QR code and short URL are generated and can be deployed on any mode or shared directly.
Field typeBest for
Rating ScaleNPS, satisfaction scores (for example, 1 to 10)
Multiple Choice / RadioSingle-answer questions
CheckboxMulti-select options
DropdownCategory selection
Multi Line TextOpen-ended comments and feedback
Decision BoxYes/No questions
EmailOptional contact info for follow-up

All survey responses are collected and visible in the Analytics section of TouchPoint. Reports can be exported as CSV, PDF, or Excel.

TIP

For touchpoint-based surveys, keep it to 3 to 5 questions maximum. Visitors scanning a QR code on a receipt or restaurant table are unlikely to complete a lengthy form. Use open-ended questions sparingly; one comment box at the end is usually enough.

Advanced surveys with Zoho Survey

The built-in Survey Form is designed for quick, lightweight surveys. If you need any of the following, use Zoho Survey and link to it via a Website URL destination:

  • Survey logic and branching (skip logic)
  • Multi-page surveys
  • Multilingual surveys
  • Advanced reporting and sentiment analysis
  • Survey themes and custom branding
  • Scoring and assessment-style surveys

Paste your Zoho Survey URL into the Website URL destination or use it as a CTA button. TouchPoint will still track the scan that led to it.

Use cases

🍴 Restaurant feedback

A QR code on a table tent or receipt pointing to a three-question satisfaction survey with an NPS rating.

🎪 Post-event feedback

A QR code destination switched to a Survey Form after the event ends, with no reprint needed.

🛍 Product feedback

A QR code on product packaging pointing to a brief product experience survey that feeds into analytics.

🏢 Service counter

A QR code at a service desk or counter pointing to a real-time customer satisfaction rating.

A Link Page is a mobile-optimized landing page that hosts multiple links in one place, similar to Linktree. It's ideal for social media bios, campaign hubs, or any situation where you want to direct people to several different resources from a single touchpoint.

NOTE

Zoho TouchPoint's Link Page is built in collaboration with Zoho's LinkThread service. Basic Link Page features are available directly within TouchPoint. For advanced features like scheduled link visibility, additional themes, and deeper analytics, users are prompted to access LinkThread.

  1. From the Create page, or when setting a destination, select Link Page. Choose an existing page or click Create New.
  2. Give the page a name (for example, "Zylker Travels - Campaign Hub") and pick a template layout.
  3. Add a display name, short description, and profile or logo image at the top of the page. These appear as the page header.
  4. Build your link list using the available button types, listed below.
  5. For any Advanced Button, select the TouchPoint destination it should open. You can pick from any of the currently available destination types, or an existing destination you've already created.
  6. Click Publish. The Link Page's QR code and short URL are generated and ready to use with any mode.
Button typeWhat it does
Social Links (Native)Add social platform icons (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, X, and others) with your profile URLs. Displayed as icons in a row.

For example, a travel company's Link Page could have gallery buttons, a YouTube tour video, a "Browse Packages" URL button, and a "Book a Consultation" Appointment Form button.
