Set the Application Price
Pricing your vertical application in Zoho Vertical Studio is very important, because the price you set is a major deciding factor for the success of your application. Zoho Vertical Studio offers flexible pricing options, allowing you to select from three predefined plan tiers.
Understanding the Pricing Structure
Each plan consists of a single, fixed Base Price, which is the cost per user per month. This price is automatically applied based on the selected plan tier. The plan tier determines the set of features and modules available in your application. You cannot add a markup or setup fee—pricing is standardized across all plans.
Plan Tiers and Pricing
Vertical Studio provides three plan tiers designed to accommodate businesses of different sizes and requirements. Each plan comes with a specific price and a set of feature limitations.
Plan | Base Price (per user/month) |
Starter | $5 |
Growth | $15 |
Scale | $30 |
These prices are non-negotiable and cannot be altered.
The plan tier you select will determine the number of features and modules available in your application. You can create up to three different pricing plans per application, each built on one of these plan tiers.
Let us look at an example to understand this better.
Plan Details:
- Plan Tier: Growth ($15 per user per month)
- Number of Users: 10
Monthly Cost:
- $15 × 10 users = $150 per month
Note
- Trial Period: When a new user signs up for the application, they will be provided a 15-day trial version of your application with access to all features and modules.
- Payment Management: All subscription payments can be managed through Zoho Payments.
Please note that setup fees and price markups cannot be added directly within Vertical Studio. This means that all service-related charges (e.g., customization, onboarding, training) must be agreed upon and handled outside the Vertical Studio environment. The app creator shoul manage the pricing relationship directly with the customer.
Zoho charges a platform fee (base price) to the app creator, based on the number of users and selected plan tier. End customers are not billed by Zoho for your Vertical application. For more details on each plan tier, and their feature limits, please refer to our
Plan Tiers documentation.
Creating a Pricing Plan
You can create a maximum of three plans per application, each based on one of the Plan Tier. Creating a plan includes selecting the plan tier, and adding the modules that will be available in the plan.
To create a new plan,
- Log in to your application and navigate to Package > Pricing on the left menu.
- Click Create Plan for Zoho Payments.

In the New Plan page, do the following:
- Plan Name: Enter a unique name for the plan.
- Plan Tier: Select one of the three plan tiers (Starter, Growth, Scale).
- Modules: Choose the modules available for this plan and move them to the Selected Modules list.
- Provide a brief description of the plan’s features and benefits.
- Click Save.

Note
- You must have at least one pricing plan before you can publish your application.
- If you have already created a plan in your pricing page, you will have Add Plan [+] option, through which you can add new plans.
- Deleting a plan will not affect the existing users of that particular plan. The existing users will be able to continue with the same plan. The new users who sign up for your application will not be able to subscribe to this plan.
