CRM's import feature has been revamped

higher import limits across all paid editions. Inventory modules are supported in the module import tool. Dependent module can be imported with the primary module's records. Dependent module refers to data like subforms, multi-lookup, and multi-user data.

Hello folks,

We've refreshed the import feature. You can now manage large, complex imports, particularly those with related data, more easily, with fewer steps and fewer errors. This has been released for all users in all DCs.

Here are the details:

Import limits are shows as a bar graph. Limits have been boosted 2x for standard edition, 2.5x for professional edition, 3.3x for Enterprise edition, and 4x for the Ultimate edition.

We've increased the limit for maximum number of records per batch across all paid editions. Here's a table with the new limits for your reference.

The new limits are compared against the old ones in this table. Free edition, it was 1000 and it stays 1000. In standard, it was 10,000 and its 20,000 now. In Zoho One standard, it was 10,000 before and 20,000 now.

This translates to fewer import files and easier imports for everyone.

Previously, imports using xls/xlsx files was limited to 5,000 records per batch for all editions. Now, you can import them with the same limits as csv files.

Import quotes, invoices, sales orders, and purchase orders easily.

You're no longer limited to the data migration tool or APIs for importing data into Quotes, Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Invoices modules. Simply use the import tool within each module. What about the mandatory line items, you ask? We've got you covered with...

Import dependent module data along with main module data. Dependent module refers to subforms, multi-lookup associations, and multi-user associations.

When you import data into a module, you can simultaneously import dependent module data. The term 'dependent modules' refers to the following:

Subform records
Multi-select lookup associations
Multi-user associations

This means that you can drag and drop multiple files in the import tool and map them to the right dependent modules. Let's say that you want to import invoices along with the line items. Now, you can do this in one go.

Update multiple notes in one shot.

Previously, you could add new notes via the import tool, but you could not update or upsert them. With this revamp, you can perform both operations.

Append values in multi-select picklists.

You can now append values to multi-select picklist fields instead of overwriting them during import.

In addition, you can:

Choose whether you want to be notified via email when an import is complete.
Use the import tool to update records even when data storage is full.
Update and upsert records in the Free edition.
Select ISO-8859-8 charset for Hebrew-language data imports.
