Excel Sheet how to read only
Hi Guys, i'd like to make a excel sheet public to people not using zoho.com. I am able to show them the file but they can change things, even delete the file... what am i doing wrong? Greetings

First things first, if zoho is going to move into the "Document Management" space, it needs to be able handle standard attributes: Title,Subject,Author,Department,Category But beyond that, it makes sense to be able to have a little taxonomy support by allowing us to create attribute pairs (Product=Television,Size=38 ) And of course this means that there needs to be a way to browse and search on these attributes. Download work document hang up MS Word on Mac
I uploaded a work document to zoho, edited it, saved it and downloaded it to my desktop. When I try to open it in MSWord Word hangs up and I must force quit. I am running firefox 3, Mac OS X 10.5.6, and MS Office 2004. Not much use if people can't open the document in Word. Thanks for any help.
Sharing folders
Hello, I am the coordinator of a small group of people that would like to publish a community newsletter. I suggested to use Zoho as a place to edit and share our documents (drafts, ready-to-publish articles for each issue, admin docs and so on). My pdf and text documents WON'T OPEN or DOWNLOAD !
I am really upset some of my pdf and text documents won't download or open at all!!!! I have asked for help on this forum before and still not received a single response from the zoho team. Furthermore, I am worried about my other documents corrupting in the same manner. I can see the download button but when I click nothing happens, and when I try to view it on zoho it says loading but nothing happens. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

documents won't open or download
I have some html files in my account and they don't open or download. I was able to download them before. Can any one help? And is this a common occurrence for files to corrupt in zoho docs?
embede word document in html page
HI- This is an unusual request, I'd like to display a MS Word document on an HTML page on my local intranet, the system will be a typical Windows XP workstation with Apache or IIS as the web server, this is a kiosk application that will be unable to access any network for http:// request. A Text Tagger and linker
How about something which takes a doc or spreadsheet and finds the important words(ie skips common words ) and tags them and makes links of them so when you click on a word it brings up other places in that document and other documents associated with that. im thinking of council meeting minutes. click on name on and it bring up every question that person asked, or bring up which words or topics the person said the most, its sorta like an automatically creating content for a cms, but not quite.
footnotes and endnotes placeable and debuged
hi all endnotes are placed at the end of document and footnotes? if i enter a footnote it will insert a link which opens the edit window and they dont appear at the end of page or before a linebreak or at the end of document in the print preview i only see the link as a number ... but the footnotes it self dont appear anywhere there should be some options end notes at the end ... placeable by a placeholder tag footnotes before a line break or at the end of the printed page where they appear and there
How to make changes to document that was shared to me
Hi I was granted 'Read,Write' on a document that was shared to me. I downloaded the document that was shared to me on my local drive, made changes. When I tried to upload, the only place I can upload to is my own folders. I want to overwrite the document that was shared to me so that others who have been granted access to that shared document can also see my changes. How do I do this? Thanks Angela
Why DO My Spreadsheets Open in Read Only
I know I'm missing some key concept here but why on earth do my documents (excel spreadsheets) only open in READ ONLY when I download them? If I save the same doc on a memory stick and open it, I don't have this problem. I'm sure there is some basic concept I'm missing .... anyone?

hi all i go to zoho documents make text save it go to collaborate make the document public then the screen gets gray and it dont change to normal it stays gray until i reload the whole page so i dont get the information if publishing succes and i dont get a a link under which the document is public now? i use firefox on xp i use writer in personal page integrated with httpS how i can find the link on which my document is published? how can i see if the document is published or not? anyone else know

Sharing docs to external addresses
I can't share any of my docs from the docs.zoho.com application. However, from writer.zoho.com I can share them. I created a folder. I put documents into the folder (some images and some txt files) I tried to share from docs.zoho.com I get a message that the document was shared successfully, but no invitation arrives in the email the document does not show up in the area for 'shared by me'
Colapse text by Tab indent in docs would be nice

Hi there, As user of both Zoho apps. and Box.net, I imagine a Docs -Box.net interface to be a really an essential tool in docs. management. In fact. many other Zoho apps. could benefit from this as well. Apparently Box.net has provided a one-way interface, allowing account users access to Writer, Sheet and Show. Interactive Excel File won't work

Subfolders in Zoho Docs?
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to create subfolders in Zoho Docs, so that you could have My Folders > Folder A > Folder B and so on... It would really help in organising my documents. Also, I was wondering if it was possible to share documents with non-Zoho users by sending them a link enabling access, or can you share only with other Zoho users? Thanks.
Uploaded Docs integration with Writer/Sheet
Does the Zoho Docs roadmap include a more simplified UI for uploading docs/sheets into Zoho and editing and sharing them? From what I can figure, at this point it seems so complicated. If I upload a spreadsheet into ZDocs I can edit it, but if I share it, the other person can't edit it, they can only download it. If I want them to be able to edit it, I have to "upload" it AND THEN "import" it after it has already been uploaded??? Sharing docs is even more complicated. To manage who a file is shared

Progress bar while uploading files
Hi :) When uploading big files it would be helpful if there was a progress bar. Sometimes an upload is broken but zdocs doesn't recognize it and there is still this "Scanning for Viruses". After uploading 10MB for half an hour you probably think hmm maybe sth. wrong there let's try it again... Due to this a progress bar with estimated time and upload speed would really be great (in my opinion). Same problem in the MailApp btw. Anyway, thanks for your great work! :)
Cannot open PDF file?
I have posted a couple PDF documents to the library and it seems that they will not open. When I click on them, I get the standard windows dialog box to either "Open" or "Save", but when I select either one, the window just closes and nothing else happens. It seems I can open PDFs from other sites without any problems. Is there a setting I need to change???

Hello, In a previous message, I explain that I don't fond the option "Editer or Prévisualisation" in all of my documents. Now, I see that this "problem" is present only with documents that I charge from Word Office. Apple iWork Pages
Hi, I was using a Mac to create a new document using iWork Pages word processor. I then uploaded the file into Z Docs to store it. Later once I downloaded it again from Z Docs, the file is now not recognised by iWork Pages. It says it is not a valid file type anymore. Any ideas? Luke
copy a writer file
Is there a way to copy a zoho writer file? I select the document I'd like to copy in Zoho Docs and click copy - "oops, copy is not supported with this type of file." Anybody know what is going on, and how to copy a doc?
Pic upload issue in Zoho Doc via Chrome browser
Chrome ver 1.0.154 While I am trying to insert a pic from local disk, the file dialog always freezed and will not accept any action (OK, Preview etc) except Close it back to doc page. This bug really makes me unpleasant as I'd love to stick both Chrome and Zoho as my primary computer services. Any suggestion? Thanks Mike
