A few pet peeves on long-standing issues with Zoho CRM

While I am overall happy with the Zoho One platform, there remain some seriously weak points int he CRM that make me wonder what on earth the devs were thinking.
  1. When you set a company financial year in the Company Settings, it is not applies anywhere YEAR is used to filter or create a report. Basically, the setting is ignored.   People looking for "opportunities this year' or other common tasks or developing sales charts are completely at a loss as to why their numbers do not match.   Zoho needs to either modify the software so wherever Year is used, it uses the Financial Year Settings OR add Financial Year options wherever Year appears (and ideally change Year to Calendar Year for clarity).  Being able to work in calendar year is one of the most basic features of any sales application. It needs to be addressed asap for Zoho CRM to be taken as a serious competitive product.
  2. Product availability has no effect. Setting a flag to mark a product as not available (e.g. discontinued products) has no effect. The unavailable products still show up in all areas of the CRM. This confuses the hell out of the salespeople and, again, shows that the application is developed without insights into how CRMs are actually used.
  3. No convert opportunity (deal) record to quote. Why?  Sure, there is deluge code you can find to do this,  but it is a standard feature of every CRM iI have worked with in the past.
  4. Limit of two linked lists via a custom module. This is an arbitrary limitation limits the Zoho CRM's application to vertical industries.
  5. Email domain exclusions still do not seem to work - or at least, we've never been able to get them to work.
On the plus side, Zoho CRM is very attractive and easy to use. And highly customisable, especially when used within the larger Zoho One platform. The new layout and timeline view is wonderful. However, I'd have given that up to get points 1 and 2, above, fixed.

      • How to Add Users to your Organization in ZohoMail?

A better clarity so you can create other users to start using Zoho Mail. You can directly Add Users from the Control Panel to your Organization. You can invite users with the existing email address. If the person (user) already uses ZohoCRM, then you can import users from Zoho CRM. You can also import them using a .csv file. (if you are planning to add them in Bulk)  In this topic, We will be discussing on how to Add and Invite users only.  The Import options are self explanatory. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________
