Ability to define Custom Filter as a parameter in the URL

I would like to be able to construct URL in such a way so it applies predefined Custom Filter, which should be supplied as a URL parameter.

Hypothetically it should look something like that:
baseUrl?CustomFilter=my custom filter

At the moment this is only possible by literally re-writing the whole Custom Filter logic into URL by using functionality based URLs parameters. It works, but it is very complex process and in some cases it is not possible to achieve what I want without creating a dedicated report to direct users to filtered data-set (like for example when specifying URL based on dynamic date as an Action from the dashboard widgets)

Custom Filters is such a great feature, but we really need to be able to supply option into URL parameter to be able to direct users by default to a particular filter. Filter should then be dynamically applied and users should be abel to click a cross to remove it if they want to see all data.

Currently I have to maintain these filters in two places - first, an easy one, through Custom Filters, and second, a complocated one, in the Deluge code, to construct long URL with all filters. This is laborious and very tedious and also often goes out of sync, since we now have them in two places. Besides, users tent to forget that we have Custom Filters, and they simply don't know how to easily filter data without me constantly reminding them about Custom Filters

Please, consider this as an option and comment below if this was mentioned already elswhere - I will up-vote
