Accounting on the Go Series-48: Enhance Accuracy with Custom Work Week Start Days in Zoho Books iOS app

Welcome back! We’re here with another feature spotlight that might seem small but can have a big impact on your daily routine: setting the first day of the work week in the Zoho Books iOS app.

Imagine this: You’re a business owner who starts the work week on a Monday. However, when you’re entering transactions in the app, the calendar starts on Sunday. This slight misalignment can cause a moment of confusion every time you select a date. Over time, this can lead to small mistakes, like scheduling a payment for the wrong day or logging an expense on the incorrect date. These might seem like minor errors, but they can add and affect your business's efficiency.

Now, with the ability to set the first day of your work week, you can align the calendar in the app to match your actual work schedule. This not only makes the process of selecting dates more intuitive but also helps reduce the risk of human errors. Whether you start your week on a Monday, Sunday, or any other day, setting the first day of your work week ensures that your calendar view is consistent with your schedule, making date selection smoother and more accurate.

Supported OS: iOS

How it works in Zoho Books iOS app:
    ➤ Open the Zoho Books iOS app.
    ➤ Tap on"More" and go to “Settings”.
    ➤ Scroll down to find the "General Preferences" option.
    ➤ Select "First day of your work week."
    ➤ Choose the day you want to set as the first day of your work week ( Saturday, Sunday or Monday).
    ➤ Save your settings.








Once this is done, every time you open the calendar to select a date for a transaction, it will begin with the day you’ve chosen as your start of the work week. This small change helps in maintaining accuracy and speeds up your work by reducing the need for constant checks and corrections.
