Auto forward mails from terminated employees to their department's email
In Zoho People when we're creating a department, we have to put a mail alias for the department. Then, all people who work at the same department, can be addressed to by the department email address, which then has to be set-up as a distribution list group at mailadmin.
Our organization sets personal emails for each employee (
surname@organizationName.com) and when this employee is terminated and the mailbox is deactivated, we add the terminated user's mail alias to an active user. This of course isn't the best practice to cope with inactive email accounts, nor is the automated message that "This account does not exist", and have customers wonder what happened and who to contact.
Is there a way in Zoho People or mailadmin to automatically forward terminated employees' emails to their respective department, so the remaining colleagues from the same department can read and reply to our customers?
