Backordering Items

We have integrated our website with Zoho Inventory. So basically stock and SKU information is flowing from Zoho Inventory to Zoho Commerce. So all items that does is not in stock in my warehouse shows as 'Out of Stock' on my website.

However, I want to accept orders for SKUs that is currently not in my warehouse and backorder items from my suppliers once we get the inventory. Is this possible? In case I adjusted the stock position manually, will this affect my accounting on Zoho Inventory?
