#BiginnersTips- 5 | Clearing Closed Lost Deals from the previous year!

Welcome to another segment of our #BiginnersTips series!

In this post, we'll explore a practical solution to manage closed lost deals from the previous year. By utilizing custom views and setting appropriate filters in your Bigin account, you can effectively declutter your workspace and streamline your sales process. Let's dive into the steps to achieve this.

Step 1: Understanding Custom Views

Custom views allow you to create a personalized display of data within your account. By defining specific criteria, you can tailor your view to show only the information that is relevant to your current objectives.

Step 2: Identifying Closed Lost Deals

To begin with, identify the closed lost deals from the previous year which did not convert into sales. This data can be found in the "Pipelines" module.

Step 3: Creating a Custom View

By default, the view will be set as "All Deals". To create a view based on your criteria, Click on + Create View in the Pipelines module as shown in the above picture.

Step 4: Setting the Criteria

Set an easy name for the View: Deals 2023 (This view will only show me the closed lost deals of 2023 excluding the closed lost deals from 2022).

Let's assume, I do not wish to see the Closed Lost deals from the previous year 2022, I will set the below criteria to get my desired Custom View.

Next, choosing the criteria:

Based on your requirement, you can set the date range. In this case, the first two criteria ensures, Closed Lost deals of 2022 does not appear in the Pipeline.

Third criteria of Closing Date ensures existing deals of 2022 still appear in other stages apart from Closed Lost.

Once saved, the view will be created and you can favorite it for easy access.

By utilizing custom views in your Bigin account, you can efficiently clear out closed lost deals from the previous year. This allows you to focus on more relevant opportunities and maintain an organized CRM. Remember to review periodically and update your custom views as your business needs evolve. With today's #BiginnerTips, you can optimize your sales process and make the most of your CRM system.
