I planned to use Zoho Mail to send businesses some cold emails to offer my freelance writing services, but I noticed that the anti-spam policy is very strict -- no commercial emails whatsoever without prior permission from the recipient?
I would be very conservative, sending a limited number of cold emails to relevant companies in my niche, and only those that explicitly provide their contact information on their web sites. (Does that count as permission? It does under Canadian anti-spam law, which has similar wording to the Zoho policy.)
I wouldn't spam anyone or send out mass emails from a list. I would inform them that by ignoring the message they would never hear from me again.
Would that be allowed or not?
Thanks!
