Contests: A Fun, Organic, Huge Boost to Brand Awareness

Contests: A Fun, Organic, Huge Boost to Brand Awareness

I am marrying Zoho as I'm finding so many alternatives to a pool of separate services, all under one roof. :)

Here's one powerful component that doesn't seem to be quite developed yet but obviously has a platform to build on already. It is mentioned in one of the Tip of the Week articles but I see no reaction there so wanted to bring it to the forum: the contests.

I successfully ran many of them in the past 5 years using another vendor. They are a HUGE marketing boost if done right. In brief, people enter a concept, I select 3-5 finalists, and put them up for voting. Just those 3-5 people send hundreds of their friends to vote for them with a snowball effect, turning into thousands of visitors to my website where a contest is embedded! You know what that means, what new opportunities to engage present themselves... It's like fishing during the anadromous migration. Willing to offer my observations and thoughts.

Zoho Polls could be a building ground. For the scenario outlined, one important feature that seems missing in Polls yet is voting restriction so that a person votes once only (at least not a hundred). Cookies don't really cut it but this could be done via IP address restriction or even better, via a verified Facebook profile.

Customers will love you for this engaging and fun tool! I insanely boosted my brand awareness this way. Hope to see it implemented soon. :)

      • Email Deliverability Tip #3: Seal the deal with the preheader

In the last post, we learned about the subject line. Today we'll be learning about the preheader. A preheader is the short text that follows the subject line in an email. The preheader is designed to hint at what your email message is all about. A good preheader should act as a second subject line and convince your contacts to open the email. Now, let's learn the best way to craft a preheader. Your subject line and preheader should work together and accurately convey the gist of your email. Keep
      • Tip of the week 15 - Add subscription-preferences option. Drive more engagement.

If crafting content for emails, getting creatives done, and running email campaigns is your love, then unsubscribes are the heartbreakers.  You can save your emails from being unsubscribed/trashed by adding a proper subscription-preferences option in your emails (works best at the time of signup). Giving subscribers the option to choose what they want to receive from you and decide how often (frequency of the emails) your emails should hit their inboxes will increase the reach of your campaigns manifolds.
