It could be only me (I doubt it) but the more I use more apps on Zoho, the more tasks I am discovering I cannot do and this is really frustrating. The amount of time that I spent already with tech support is insane and I don't get paid for that, let along I'm wasting too much time on troubleshooting than running my business.
Here are some examples for why I think Zoho or some modules are half baked:
CONTRACTS
Supposed to be integrated with Zoho CRM. A logical integration should be available for 3 modules in CRM:
- Accounts
- Opportunities
- Vendors
- Contacts
The user should be able to create a contract and pre-populate the info in the contract from any of these modules. I should be able to create a contract for a company (Account or Vendor), a project (opportunity) or just a contact.
Even the settings in Contracts let you select the scope of the contact (account, vendors etc...) and there is field mapping between Accounts and Contacts to Contracts.
But guess what.... after 3 hours on the phone with tech support it turned out the integration between Contracts/Sign is limited to Opportunities only.
You can literally initiate a contract from an opportunity only. Not from accounts, not from Vendors and not from Contacts. JUST OPPORTUNITIES.
So, if you want to create a new contract for a new Vendor or someone in your contacts - Forget about it.
You will have to enter the counterpart details manually in Contracts. Even tough you may have the contact already in your contacts.
Zoho Team - You need to fix this as soon as possible because this app is non-usable
