Create Customer in Quickbooks Phone Number Formatting

The phone number field in ZOHO creator has a +1 and when the customer is created in QuickBooks the phone number needs to be a "free form" number.  I know this should be simple, but can anyone help create a script to convert the phone number so it shows up properly in QuickBooks?
