I noticed recently that Custom Fields for some modules (Sales Orders, Invoices, likely others) now allow users to populate a default value based on related records.

Super-awesome addition. This allows users to really make these custom fields work without a lot of unnecessary scripting to populate them.

That being said, now that this is available in some places, I'm noticing where it's not available.

The specific use case that triggered this post is that I wanted to have a custom field on Sales Returns that pre-populates using information from the Sales Order or Invoice.

I'm sure that this can be done via workflow and scripting as a workaround, but it would be nice if the Inherit feature was extended to all modules.
