Custom Function to evaluate if Email Address in Zoho CRM is Blocked

We currently use Zoho Flow to Send Mail Merges from Zoho CRM. However we sometimes run into issues where when we try to send the mail merge, that step errors out because the email in Zoho CRM was blocked. I'm wondering if there is a custom function I can use that evaluates whether the email address (on the contact/lead) is considered as blocked in Zoho CRM.
