Data Format

Data Format

I am in the process of moving from MailChimp to Zoho Campaigns for our email campaigns. I recently sent out a campaign that used a merge field that pulled through a date from a date field in Zoho CRM. The email was to tell customers that their subscription was to expire on the 1st August 2016.

In Zoho CRM the date field follows the UK format DD/MM/YYYY. However, we have had very confused customers asking why they have received an email telling them their subscription expires on 8th January.

The merge field has reverted to US format MM/DD/YYYY so instead of showing the date as 01/08/2016 it has instead shown 08/01/2016.

Is this a problem with my settings (I can't find a date format in the settings) or is it an issue with Zoho Campaigns automatically overriding the format of Zoho CRM no matter what?

Also, is there a way of previewing how merge fields will look before you send out a campaign? MailChimp allows you to live preview merge fields based on contacts in the mailing list. This means that problems like this can be seen before you mail your entire list.
