Dates/Times in Notebook Fade Away

Recently downloaded Notebook for my iPad and iPhone. Whenever I type in a date or time, the app changes the text. This isn't a huge problem, but what happens next is:

Once I go into a note, I can see the dates and times perfectly for a moment, but then they start to "fade" into the background...
