Desktop calendar & calendar app do not agree

I love the desktop as a way to get an overview of my day, but when I look at the calendar box it shows yesterday's events as today. When I call up Calendar from the sidebar it defaults to the correct day. I've checked the timezone to make sure it is correct, but the problem continues.

I know that this is a minor annoyance to many, but I've come to rely on Zoho for my daily tasks and this problem is becoming an irritant.
