Difference between Contact and Calendars and the CRM Contacts and Calendars ?

Difference between Contact and Calendars and the CRM Contacts and Calendars ?

I am confused regarding 2 sets of Calandars and Contacts.
Are the ones listed in the applications sidebar for personal use and the CRM for Business???
They do not appear to interactive or linked.
