Email ID with Plus (+) character
Does Zoho Desk support emails with a plus character in them?
I ask this because we are currently using the Desk
Remote Auth feature and receive this error message if we attempt to add a new user with a plus (+) symbol in their email:
GET Request:
https://support.XXX.com/support/RemoteAuth?operation=signup&email=me%2Bdev%company.com&ts=1629831165191&loginname=me&fullname=My+Name&utype=portal&apikey=XXYYZZ&redirect=0
GET Response (200):
{"result":"failure","cause":"IAMError:U131:+ character cannot be in email id"}
I do understand that RemoteAuth is being deprecated in favor of SAML. We are working towards getting that done, but we've had RemoteAuth up and running for a long time and I just now noticed these errors when we attempt to create some users.
