Hi folks,
A few month ago, my colleague was told that it was not possible to integrate live Zoho analytics details into Zoho Show. However, it is possible (perhaps because of any update or us getting the wrong details.) Here is how.
1. Prepare your charts and/or dashboards in Zoho Analytics.
2. For each that you wish to show publically, go into VIEW mode and then select Share button and do the following two things:
3. Select "Make this View Public" and be sure to set who can view it - generally within yiour company (registered Zoho users) or public. This allows the dashboard or graph to be viewed.
4. Select the Embed menu option - then make any selections you need (e.g. change the screen size to 1200x600, uncheck the title, toolbar, description if you wish). The COPY the embed code (click on the green Copy button)
5, Next, open your Zoho Show presentation deck and create the slide you wish to add the graph or dashboard to.
6. Click on the "AddOns" button near the top of the screen and paste in the code you just copies from Zoho Analytics (it is an iframe.)
7. Resize the graphic as you see fit.
A few additional tips for this
1. Be sure to set (or disable) any custom filters you want for the graphics.
2. Hide any columns in analytics with sensitive data, as it is easy to accidentally make such data available through drill downs in public-facing reports.
3. I uncheck the titles display in the analytics embed options and use Show's titles to manually add them - that is more to ensure consistency in the presentation design.
Here is a work in progress of this approach:
The data in that report leverages a number of custom SQL scripts to pivot and unpivot data from a complex dataset provided by a third-party. The data is loaded as a sheet into Google, then SQL manipulations are applied in Zoho Analytics.
