Enhancement: Social Profile Linking in Zoho Recruit
In the modern recruitment process, recruiting is no longer confined to resumes and cover letters. Social media platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter offer a wealth of information about potential candidates. This information can provide valuable insights into a candidate's skills, experience, work ethic, and even cultural fit.
Social media integration in Zoho Recruit involves connecting your ATS with popular social platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and others. This integration enables you to interact with potential candidates and manage your recruitment pipeline directly from within the Zoho Recruit interface.
Previous Functionality
- Previously, social profiles were represented solely by icons in the Candidates/Contacts Details Page, which made it challenging to view and manage these details effectively.
- Additionally, there were no dedicated fields available for social profiles, making it difficult to export or re-import these values.
What's New?
- Dedicated Fields:
We’ve now introduced dedicated fields for social profiles. This means you can easily enter, view, and manage social media information in a more structured way.
- Synced Icons and Fields:
The fields and icons are now interconnected. When you link a social profile URL in the field, it automatically syncs with the corresponding social media icons, and vice versa.
- Enhanced Export/Import:
The new fields also simplify the process of exporting and re-importing social profile data, making it much easier to handle large sets of information.
Key Benefits
- Seamless Integration:
Social media profiles are now fully integrated within Zoho Recruit, with fields editable just like any other field in the candidate record.
- Field-Icon Sync:
Both fields and icons are interconnected, ensuring changes made in one are reflected in the other.
- Field-Level Permissions:
The social media icons are now linked to fields, so only the corresponding field-level permissions are necessary.
- Simplified Process:
The enhancement eliminates the need to create fields manually and link them, streamlining the recruitment workflow.
Migration Assistance
If the custom fields created by you with similar names (eg: LinkedIn URL, Facebook URL, or Twitter URL) are used in APIs/Custom functions/Criteria-specific areas (such as workflows, blueprints, or advanced searches), please replace them with the newly introduced system fields to avail the benefits.
To know more, refer to this help article.
To take advantage of features such as icon and field sync, as well as in-product Twitter feed viewing, consider using the new social system fields. If you want to migrate the values from the fields created by you, please reach out to our customer support team at support@zohorecruit.com.
