Error when using an iCal URL to create a subscription

Error when using an iCal URL to create a subscription

I have been unable to create new subscription calendars for several months now. I have tried on several occasions from several different iCal providers and each time, I get an error upon saving that says Sorry, we cannot complete your request. Please try again later. I've used the SAME URL in Microsoft Live calendar and it works fine there.
 
I've just stopped trying but this is a feature that I really would like to get working again.
