Expense update trigger with Zoho Flow Integration

Hi everyone,

I’m working on integrating Zoho Flow with Zoho Expense, using Expense Update as the trigger. However, I’ve noticed that the trigger only activates when I update the expense record (e.g., amount), but not when the record status changes (e.g., when I submit a report with the expense record, and both the report and expense status change to "Awaiting Approval"). For me, this counts as an update, but Zoho Flow isn’t catching it.

My use case:

  • I want the flow to trigger whenever an expense record is "Approved", then create a journal record in Zoho Books

Has anyone encountered this issue or have any suggestions on how to resolve it?
