Get set for Icon Sets.

Conditional Formatting in Zoho Sheet has become more exciting with the addition of Icon Sets. Represent a series of data with certain intervals using colorful icons. They are available in sets of two to five icons making them flexible with your data.

How to use it.

Icon Sets is placed under the Conditional Formatting menu tab. You can use a set containing two icons for data with TRUE/FALSE or similar conditions, three or more icons to see the change in data with many specified intervals. It can also work in combination with other conditional formats such as Color Scales.

How different it is from other conditional formats.

Use Classic formats to compare and distinguish values with a single interval. On the other hand, use Color Scales on a long data series to show gradual changes in values. You can apply Icon Sets to distinguish data values with a range of different icons based on a minimum of two rules and a maximum of five rules.

How to customize it.

You can personalize Icon Sets by selecting your desired icons for each rule in the Edit Rule dialog. This way you can have an Icon Set of your own that you can copy and use for other data ranges in the spreadsheet. Also, declutter your data by hiding out the cell values while displaying icons.

To get rid of all format rules in a desired range, either select the cell range and choose Home>Clear>Clear Formats, or go to Conditional Formatting>Clear Rules. To delete specific format rules, use 'Manage Rules'.
