Hi
We have just implemented Bigin and started adding users, we love the look of the product but we may have hit a major problem that will derail our usage if not resolved.
The site says that Bigin integrates with gmail but this is not really correct, it integrates with contacts and calendar but it appears there is no way to track what emails are sent ( via Gmail)and received to each contact in the CRM across the business. It also doesn't seem to record a historical record of anything that has been sent or received in the Google Workspace/Gmail server prior to connecting Bigin.
We have temporary staff that come and go, we need to keep a record of any emails they have sent or received to each contact, it appears this is impossible to do permanently with Bigin
I can add Imap but this is a temporary view that disappears if the person leaves the org and it appears others cannot view any emails in my view.
I try to add pop3 but so far this just redirects me to the Zoho account which makes me add an email to my Zoho but doesn't to add either a pop integration to the Bigin admin and doesnt appear to add any email records to Bigin so far that I can see (and I am worried its just going start downloading emails of the gmail server which would be a really bad outcome)
Most other CRMs have a company-wide ability to synchronise emails across multiple inboxes to each contact that receives them
Is there any way, even a hacky way that we can get a permanent record of what emails were sent and received either in Bigin or in Gmail for each contact?
The whole concept of a CRM is being able to keep a permanent organisation wide record of interactions with a client but it appears there is no way to do this with the bigin CRM.
Am I missing something? Is there a 3rd party connector that can synchronise all gmail with contacts to make a permanent record?
