Hi Zoho Reports Support,

I think there is an issue with Data Importer.

I have a formula defined column called "LastUpdated", whose value is the formula "currentdate()"

When I import data from Google Drive (google sheet), every record in the  table appears to be updated.  Which is obviously incorrect, as only the data from Google Sheets have been touched.

I have other tables where I import from a local CSV / XLS, and there are multiple different LastUpdated values, however, they are not as old as I expected them to be, so perhaps this is an issue on all data imports.

If there is a better way to mimic a trigger to populate a 'created date' or a 'last updated' date, I'd love to hear it. 


When you use the Zoho Web Interface to modify records in the database, the "LastUpdated" works as expected, when you save those rows, the data is updated (and ONLY those rows are updated.)
