Tip #8: Hacks to optimize your blueprints in Orchestly

Tip #8: Hacks to optimize your blueprints in Orchestly

Automating your organization’s workflows will be a piece of cake once you get to know the fine nuances of Orchestly. We’ve compiled a few of our tips here to help you get the best out of Orchestly.

One layout, many blueprints

Organizations have processes that demand a similar digital layout capturing user data but varied blueprints illustrating different workflows. For instance, while hiring a new candidate, the layout to capture candidate details will be the same for an experienced candidate and a fresher, but the workflows to recruit them might vary. To handle such cases, Orchestly allows you to create more than one blueprint for a single layout.

Criteria to map blueprints

If you are wondering how one blueprint among many gets mapped to a new job, that is where criteria comes into play.

Criteria helps to filter jobs mapped to a blueprint. You can set one or more blueprint criteria with the fields used in the associated layout. Say, your layout has a dropdown field named Experience which records the candidate’s experience, this field can be used to set a criteria in the blueprint.

Prioritizing blueprints

Now that we've set a criteria, what happens when a job matches the criteria of, not just one, but many blueprints? Here, Orchestly chooses a blueprint with higher priority and maps it with the job.

Say, your organization has two blueprints with different criteria. Let the first blueprint’s criteria be ‘Experience: Fresher’ and the second be ‘Team: Marketing’. If the new candidate is a fresher applying for a marketing job, both the blueprints will be valid to map the job. In such cases, the blueprint available at the top of the list will be mapped to the job. You can reorder the blueprints to prioritize them.

  1. Navigate to Automation.
  2. Under Blueprints, apply filter to view all the blueprints available under a layout.
  3. Click and reorder the blueprints to prioritize.
