I wanted to know the difference between hard bounce and soft bounce. So, as a test, i intentionally sent a mail to wrong email id. And it says mail is delivered and unopened, i'm not able to understand the difference at all, according to your definition in forums
Hard Bounce - An email which is Permanently bounces back to the sender due to "invalid or unknown recipient/account" or "domain does not exist" is called hard bounce.
Soft Bounce - Recognized by the recipient's mail server but, is returned back because the recipient's "mailbox might be full or inactive" and the "mail server is temporarily unavailable".
Then how come mail is delivered, as it suppose to be either Hard Bounce/ soft Bounce.
