How to use milestones and task lists effectively

How to use milestones and task lists effectively

I am trying to use Zoho Projects for my development process. My goal is to manage project status and provide reports to the customer.

I am developing an app (2 apps to be precise: 1 for Android and 1 for iOS)

I originally thought my milestones would be:
1. Analysis and Design
2, Android Development
3. iOS Development
4. Web Console Development
5. Quality Control
6. Deployment

But then I needed a tasklist before I created a task so it was sort of duplicated with tasklists being a superfluos duplicate of a milestone
Milestone: Analysis and Design
-- Tasklist: Analysis and Design
---- Tasks: Task 1, Task 2, Task 3

So... My thoughts were that I would have 2 x milestones:

1. Android App 
2. iOS App

BUT...About 40% of the tasks are shard across both milestones e.g. analysis and design - same process for both, Quality Control & Testing - the same for both ... Backend development - same for both... The only unique tasks will be those specific to Android App dev and iOS app dev...

I am not really grasping the Zoho Project Management theory... Would be greatful for some suggestions on how you would do the above?
