Hyperlinks in my Zoho and/or excel file are deleted
I just began using Zoho, very intriguing services!
My goal is to embed a spreadsheet, or publish named ranges, in a
webpage and I'm uncertain about a few issues.
- I have hyperlinks in my Excel spreadsheet. When I upload the file
to Zoho, they are deleted even though the cell still indicates there
is a hyperlink (the text/numbers in the cell are still underlined).
I have verified by clicking the cell from Zoho and from the
embedded/published web page that the hyperlink is missing.
- I installed Zoho Docs Sync in an attempt to remedy this. It
appears the files on Zoho are not really on my local PC but a link
which when I click it, the file is editable via a web browser. That
is great, I'll learn more about that later :)
- ... I then moved my Excel file into the Zoho shared folder.
Eventually I saw my file with extension .xlsx in my Zoho account and
I viewed it from Zoho. AGAIN the hyperlinks are missing even though
the text/numbers in the cell are underlined as though there is a hyperlink.
- ... At this point in both the Zoho converted file and my xlsx file
in Zoho I manually added the link to the first cell. I see the link
works for the embedded/published data on my web page ... but the
synced xlsx file is not only missing this hyperlink - ALL the
hyperlinks are now missing from my xlsx file on my local PC.
- I read this thread about MS Office integration https://help.zoho.com/portal/en/community/topic/microsoft-office-integration but
the proposed solution to use an Excel plugin using this link http://writer.zoho.com/public/help/zohoplugin/fullpage results
in me seeing a blank page. Also, I am unable to find anything
ANYWHERE for downloading a plugin. I read about it, but nothing
enables me to actually download it.
-
MY QUESTIONS
- Where and how do I get the plugin?
- What do I do to avoid re-entering all the hyperlinks?
- What is the best method to update the file on the Zoho site
without needing to manually update code for the website for the
"new" file?
