Hi there!
This announcement is regarding the Google + shutdown and how it will affect your data.
We know that Google
announced the shutting down of Google+, along with
Google + APIs, in April and March of 2019, respectively. According to the announcement, you'll no longer be able to create new Google+ profiles, pages, communities, or events from
February 4th, 2019. For existing users, your Google+ account, and any Google+ pages, will be shut down, and account deletions will commence on
April 2nd, 2019, with Google+ APIs shutting down on
March 7th, 2019. To get more details and updates about this shutdown, see their
FAQ page.
We wanted to inform you about this, and the impact it will have on Zoho Campaigns. Perhaps unsurprisingly, we'll soon be discontinuing our Google+ integration service with Zoho Campaigns, and the share in Google+ options from
February 28th, 2019 onwards.
Changes in Zoho Campaigns:
- You can no longer integrate your Google+ account with Zoho Campaigns.
- The Google+ share option will be removed from the Share dropdown for contacts, when they click View this email in a browser.
- Google+ related merge tags will be removed from Social Merge Tags. Places where you've used these merge tags already will be replaced by a hash(#). This reloads the current page without redirection to Google+ pages avoiding Page Not Found errors in your recipient's device.
- The Google+ option will be removed from Social Widgets. You won't be able to use this widget after February 28th, 2019.
- You won't be able to post social campaigns to your Google+ account from Zoho Campaigns.
- The Google+ option will be removed from the Promote on Social Media popup (both manual and scheduled shares) on the Sent Campaigns under Reports.
- The Social Stats section will not show any further entries for Google+. All previous stats will be retained.
- The Google+ option will be removed from the Campaign Reach section of Sent Campaigns under Reports. Older entries will be retained.
Any scheduled post campaigns on Google+ will be automatically deleted once the service is discontinued. All posts made prior to this will be retained in your Zoho Campaigns account. The page or profile details, and the data on post activity, like one plus (like) or shares, will be removed from our database on
February 28th, 2019.
