Hello,
When we want to create a new job in Recruit (to publish it on jobboards later), we do not want to spend too much time doing it. That's why the autopopulate address fields is a good feature, it's a good start not having to search for addresses each time, especially because we already fill the client page details with it. So good job Zoho !
Then, if we want to earn more time, we can create some job templates for roles that we often have to work on. Again, that's good, because most of the duties/tasks are similar no matter who is the client.
However, if you are a recruitment agency, this feature is not totally complete, or well adapted. Indeed, if you are a recruitment agency, you have many clients to work with and on each job advert that you post, there is at the beginning of it, a "client description". A short text, a few lines that describes for which company you are recruiting for, etc...
But job template does not allow us to import a field from the client page for example, via Merge Field (like you can do with Email templates). So if you create a job template, let's say a Business Developer, you have 2 choices :
- or you do not include a "client description" text, and you have to type it (or manually copy/paste it) when you create the job opening. That's a waste of time
- or you have to create a job template with the "client description" text for each client that you work with or that you will. Imagine 15/20 job templates (business developer, accountant, supply chain manager, administrative assistant,...) that you regularly working on MULTIPLIED BY the number of clients that you have (not even prospects, just clients). That makes a lot of templates to create. Too many. Not without mentioning when the client description is not accurate anymore (they've grown, etc...), you will have to modify each template.
What would make sense is the possibility (on the job template or directly on the job opening creation page, both would be better) to import a merge field coming from the client page. Something like that :
That way, we would just have to create ONCE a client description in their page (our client is blablabla...) and update it from time to time if needed, but just in one place.
Could you do that asap please, allowing us the import merge fields for job templates like you did with email templates?
Please tell me what you think about it. I am sure other recruitment consultant would be happy to post jobs more easily but still well detailed.
Regards,
Olivier
