With the release of the latest version of Zoho Mail Desktop Lite (v1.6)
, we want to keep our users informed that the same will not be supported in Windows 8.1 and the previous versions (Windows 8, 7, etc.)
Will I get any updates for the app, if I'm using Windows 8.1 or any previous versions?
You can still use the Zoho Mail Desktop Lite application version 1.5.8 and earlier but you'll not be getting any latest updates for the application. This is purely because the earlier Windows versions are not supported by the latest framework upon which the application is built.
We also want the users to be informed that any issues with the installation and usage of the earlier versions (older than v1.6) will not be provided with any assistance or support owing to the security concerns associated with the same. Hence, we would highly recommend you to upgrade your operation system to continue getting latest update for the application to have enhanced email experience.
- You can upgrade your Windows OS to a latest version (Windows 10 or latest)
- If you don't wish to upgrade you can use Zoho Mail web and mobile applications which will provide you with the same experience.
The deprecation of support for the previous versions of Windows is to ensure optimal performance of the application, enhanced security and the usage of Zoho Mail features by the users.
