Introducing Automatic Field Addition (Text Tags) in Zoho Sign

Introducing Automatic Field Addition (Text Tags) in Zoho Sign

Hello,

Today we are excited to announce the general availability of automatic field addition (text tags) feature in Zoho Sign. Now, you can now add text tags in the content of your documents and Zoho Sign will automatically add the corresponding fields when they are uploaded for the signing process. For example: when you add text tags to your sales orders, new employee contracts, and NDAs, Zoho Sign will add the corresponding fields when these documents are uploaded for the signing process.

If you have integrated Zoho Sign with other apps such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Writer, Zoho People, etc, sometimes it will be hard to locate the fields in long documents. With this feature, you can now sign documents quickly, without adding the fields manually every time.

Text tags supported for these fields: Signature, company, email, text fields, job title, initial, date, checkbox, and full name.

{{Signature}}
A signature field added to the first recipient
{{Company:Recipient2}}
A company field added to the second recipient
{{Textfield:Recipient3:Address}}
A text field added to the third recipient with the field name address
{{Textfield:Recipient1*}}
A mandatory text field added to first recipient
{{Jobtitle}}
A job title added to the first recipient
{{Initial}}
An initial field added to the first recipient
{{Signdate}}
A date field added to the first recipient
{{Checkbox}}
A checkbox field added to the first recipient
{{Fullname}}
A full name field added to the first recipient

Format: {{<field type>:Recipient<n>:<field name in case of text field>*}}

Note:

  • If the recipient number is not mentioned in the document, it will be assigned to the first recipient by default.
  • You can mark a text fields and check boxes as mandatory fields using "*".

How it works:

  1. Add the required tags to the content of your document.
  2. Log in to Zoho Sign, then click the Send for signatures button.
  3. Upload the document from your computer or any cloud storage service.
  4. Configure document settings, add recipients, and click the Continue button.
  5. Zoho Sign will automatically add fields where you have added text tags.
  6. You can edit the automatically added fields and also add more fields, if required.
  7. Click Send.
  8. You can also save this document as a template for future use.
