Introducing Excess Payments to Offline Subscriptions


Excess

  • Noun
  • an amount of something that is more than necessary, permitted, or desirable.  

Not to be a stereotype, excess is not always that bad.Take Zoho Subscriptions for instance.

Zoho Subscriptions now introduces the feature of accepting excess payments from the customer and utilize the same for creating, updating and renewing 
offline subscriptions .

This provides an easy way to follow up with the customers and make the payment collection easier for offline customers.

 

So now, you can Record Excess Payments which will be stored as Unused Credits for the customer, these credits can later be used for Offline Subscription Activities.

 

To Enable the feature in the Settings:

  • Click on Settings (Gear Icon) at the top navigation bar.

  • Click on More Settings

  • Select Preferences -> Invoice Settings

  • Scroll Down to "Excess Payments"

  • Enable the Checkbox for "Redeem Excess Payments"

  • Click Save

 

How this works in 3 easy steps?

 

1.  Enable the Settings to allow Excess Payment Redemption   



2. Record Excess Payments for a customer

      2.1 Click on "Record Payment"  in the Customer Details.


     
     
        

       2.2 Add the excess Amount.


      2.3 View the Amount Details by Clicking on the amount

Enjoy creating / updating Subscriptions  

      3.1 Create or update offline subscription  


      
     
       3.2 Excess payments will be applied to the subscription
