Introducing '@Mention' in Zoho Writer

Introducing '@Mention' in Zoho Writer

Team-work is best when you can collaborate and work on projects seamlessly. Zoho Writer made it possible with its real-time collaboration and intuitive reviewing features. Now, we take  collaboration  to the  next level with the introduction of "@mention" in comments.

While earlier,  it was possible to add comments in a shared document to share your feedback or inputs, now you can direct those comments to specific users in the document or outside, to pull them into your discussion.

By using the @mention  functionality, you  can either  direct comments to collaborators who are already a part of the shared document but not actively participating. Or, you can  call out reviewers or domain experts who are not in the shared environment and get them involved in the document review process.

To start tagging people in your comments, select a word, phrase or even a paragraph and click  Add Comments . Enter the “@“ symbol and start typing the name of the user you want to tag. You will automatically get the list of suggested names based on your input. Then you can select the user and add your comment. You can also tag more than one user in your comment.

If the tagged user is already a part of the shared document, then he/she will receive an email notification  with the comment.  In case the user you have mentioned is not a part of the shared document, then the document link along with the comment added will be sent to the mentioned user. The user can click the document link to send a  request to the owner/co- owner of the document to access the document. Once the request is granted, the mentioned user will  become a part of the shared document and can be involved in the review process.

Hope this will help you streamline your review process and collaborate better with your team. Start tagging today!
