Invoice entry view & quick search

I run a retail business with over 2000 items. When I choose and select items to go onto the invoice, i'm running into a problem where once a item is selected, the box is so short that I cannot see what the item is that I have selected. Once I click the box again, the items does not appear to allow me to confirm. So my questions is whether the invoice entry view can be adjusted, because I adjusted the PDF view once it's exported....

Also, because there's 2000+ items, the quick search box allows only look up the beginning name of the item. In my opinion, is there some sort of settings where I can adjust to have the search look up the search text from any part of the item name. 

For example, if I am looking at an item called "Urban Chair - Brown", currently, due to a lack of categorization in the zoho item system, the item is entered as "Leather -- Urban Chair -- Brown", and it comes in numerous colour.
So when I enter it, i cannot type in the search box either "urban" or "brown" to narrow down my selection.

Any advices to help me out on the two above issues would be greatly appreciated.
