Learn how to embed web links and rich media in your Writer documents.

Whether you're working on video scripts or annual business projections, adding live elements help add more context to your discussions.

Writer's embed options let you add spreadsheets, presentations, YouTube videos or even blogs right into your documents easily.

You can embed media into Writer in two simple ways:
  • Copy/paste the public URL into the document.
• Copy/paste the embed code of the video or other media, which is available in the sharing options of the respective media file.
Let's see in detail.

Auto-embed videos

Insert videos from YouTube, Vimeo, or Dailymotion instantly. Just add the public link of the video anywhere in your document and hit enter. A thumbnail preview of the video will be displayed. A larger version will expand to play the video when you click the link.

Note:

To "disable" video embeds,
Go to Settings > Preferences and uncheck the " Automatically embed video from links " option.

Embed charts from Zoho Sheet

Spreadsheets are a great way to display your data. It helps to create more advanced features than the default table tools in Writer.

To embed charts in your document,
  • Create data in Zoho Sheet
  • Publish the spreadsheet
• Copy the embed code from the sharing options of your spreadsheet
  • Paste the embed code into your Writer document
Once you've embedded the content from your sheet, you can edit the content right there in the document.

Manage the embedded media

Edit embeds: Each piece of embedded content is treated as a graphic element. You can resize, move, or apply borders to it.

Manage the text around embeds: Re-align the thumbnail to control how text flows around the embeds in your document.

That's all for now. We hope you find this feature useful, and if you have any questions, please contact us at support@zohowriter.com.
