I have a question and looking for the best way to make it happen.
So, this customer is using a third-party e-commerce website. Using webhooks when some one buys something we look to see if it’s a contact in Zoho CRM and if not, we create it.
After we add the product, he bought to the related list product (the default one). Because all the products on the website are replicated in Zoho CRM product modules.
Now when using Zoho Campaign you can’t sync the related list or the products module over. So, what would be the best way to make segment base on products bought so we can handle the marketing base on certain products.
One quick way I was looking into is having a multi-line field under the contact in the CRM and we could have the same made in Zoho Campaign and have a script that take the related products and contact bought and set the products in that custom filed. Using the sync, we could replicate that to Campaign and make segment/list using that field.
But this sound like a bad solution for something I am sure many people came across and made way sexier solution.
Would making a custom module to handle this be better?
We don’t want the website to send the data to Campaign as we already have it in Zoho CRM and would prefer taking the data from Zoho that way we can trace everything.
My issue is that I have not figured out a great way to handle contact who bought items for our customers. How do we keep track of everything they bought time and so forth. We need to have this view searchable in the CRM and easy to get access for the sales team as well.
Looking for any advice or nudge in the right direction you guys can send my way.
