In our previous post, we learned about signup-based autoresponders.

In this post, we'll discuss date-field autoresponders.

Date-field autoresponders let you send sequential emails based on a particular date to your customers. You can also create custom date fields that represent a specific purpose relevant to your customers. 

Here are a few examples where you can use date-field autoresponders:

  • Wish your customers a happy birthday

  • Remind your customers about the end of their free trial

  • Remind your customers to renew their subscription



Let's look at a user scenario to understand this autoresponder better. 

The Cosmopolitan Library is known for its innovative approach to engage with its patrons. They not only send sequential emails to wish their patrons on birthdays but also make use of date-field autoresponders for scenarios such as advance notice of due books so that their patrons remember the date to return books. They also send a reminder when their annual membership is about to expire. This type of email communication creates bonding between the library and its patrons.
