Hello,
In the previous post we discussed adding a sender address for your business.
To authenticate your domain, you'll also need to follow two important email authentication protocols: SPF and DKIM
In this post we will discuss how to follow the SPF authentication protocol.
SPF, or Sender Policy Framework, is a method that checks if email senders are legitimate by authorizing a set of IP addresses from which an email can be sent. Zoho Campaigns will provide a SPF text record that needs to be added to your domain and verified for this protocol to work.
Let's take the scenario we used in the previous post.
Jane wants to build a trustworthy reputation for her consulting firm, and that includes making sure her email campaigns are seen as legitimate. She decides to authenticate her domain, "zylkerchef.com." Zoho Campaigns provides a SPF text record for her to complete the SPF authentication protocol. She then goes to GoDaddy, the domain hosting website where she purchased this URL, and adds the SPF text record. Once added, she can verify the text record in Zoho Campaigns.
The next step she needs to perform is verifying DKIM to complete the authentication process, which will be discussed in tomorrow's post.
