Need fix for common issue: Your account is temporarily blocked for IMAP use. This may happen if you exceed the maximum number of simultaneous IMAP connections allowed.
I see many threads on this topic but no satisfactory solutions. I have my email setup as IMAP in Outlook and when on the road I access via my Android phone. I rarely have both going. My phone doesn't automatically check, only when I ask it. I've seen this error in the past but it used to self-resolve. I've been fighting these persistent pop-ups for a couple of weeks. I give up and close Outlook and start using webmail for awhile until I miss my other Outlook functions. Surely there is a true FIX for this issue!
One response mentioned setting up POP. I used to use POP but of course now I want my mail synchronized with my phone. Is the suggestion to run both concurrently? Could that work? Or something about using "exchange"? I'm not sure though how that works and if it takes a pro account (I'm on the free version). I do not have access to an MS Exchange Server if that's what was being referred to.
When I first bootup Outlook it's fine for awhile. This is a very frustrating situation because the pop-ups won't just go away. As you close one the next one opens until you close Outlook. There MUST be some solution to this short of leaving Zoho!
