We have implemented the layout and validation rules for quick actions in the Activities module for tasks and events.

An intermediary screen has been provided, which contains all the mandatory fields that are yet to be filled in the task/events, when a layout or validation rule condition is satisfied.

You can also navigate to edit form by using 'Switch to edit page' option from the intermediary screen.
