New Features in Zoho Sheet: Editable Public Spreadsheets, Collaborator Presence Revamp and Formula Reference Toggling

Recently, we have made the following enhancements to Zoho Sheet  which will  enrich your experience.

  1. Editable Public Spreadsheets

  2. Collaborator Presence and Panel Revamp

  3. Formula Reference Toggling

Editable Public Spreadsheets

This feature lets you share the spreadsheets you create using Zoho Sheet publicly on the web with password  security.  You could use this feature  even with users who haven't yet signed up with Zoho.  You can avail this feature from Share settings. Once you decide to share the spreadsheet with your collaborators, set a secure password. Share the link with your collaborators and notify them of the password.  The name that they choose will be displayed as their  username to the other collaborators of the spreadsheet.

Collaborator Presence and Panel Revamp

The Collaborator Panel has been revamped to let you work more efficiently . You can now view if a cell is being edited as a collaborator edits it. You can wish to turn on and off the presence of collaborators.  This feature comes in handy when there are many collaborators and you find their presence distracting.  You can also  view the range of cells that has been selected by your collaborator.

The Collaborator Panel displays the actions and the locations of your collaborators now. When you click on the name of the collaborator, the cell or the range in which he is currently present will be highlighted.

Formula Reference Toggling

Function references can now be toggled using the function key F4. You can  toggle between relative and absolute references as you use your formulas and functions. This feature can be used in cases where you need to keep referring to the same cell again. For more help with absolute and relative formula references, refer our  help documents .

The toggle functionality will be especially effective when you use  a large number of input arguments in the formula or function  and would like to keep switching cell references.

You can also choose to navigate  along ranges  as you toggle between references. As you choose a range, the range is highlighted for easy reference. You can also navigate between ranges back and forth using Option+Tab and Option+Shift+Tab in Mac.
