New guidelines of Google and Yahoo

New guidelines of Google and Yahoo

Dear users,

Google and Yahoo have introduced their new guidelines for email standards to take effect starting this month. To protect their users from spam and fraudulent emails, they've mandated email authentication for the emails sent to their users.

How does this affect your email deliverability from Zoho TeamInbox?
Your deliverability will be affected in the following two cases:

  1. If you've not done DKIM authentication for your domain
Google and Yahoo have now made DKIM authentication compulsory for all of the incoming emails, hence having these records in place will ensure deliverability of your emails. If you've not verified your domains yet, we request you to do them now to avoid the risk of your emails being blocked by the recipient servers. Here's our documentation on how to add your DKIM records.

  1. If you use @gmail.com as your sender addresses
Emails sent out from @gmail.com sender addresses will not be delivered to any recipient servers.
You can do one of the following:
  • If you have your business domain, you can use it instead to send out email. Add your custom domain to Zoho TeamInbox and verify DKIM, your emails will then be properly delivered to any recipient server.
